SEARCH AND RESCUE                       (last updated 2006 July 27)

Derek is currently active with CAlifornia Rescue Dogs Association (CARDA) .



My retired partner passed away on June 7th 2006, Tasha was over 13.5 years old. She was involved with 20 searches and made two live-finds. Her first and best was an 80 year old woman missing for 3-1/2 days. The lady made a complete recovery. These are a couple of her better pictures doing what she liked most - working (agility break and Frisbee play break). The family will miss this pack member and we know that she is in a place searching, playing Frisbee and swimming to her heart’s content.
                  

My new partner, Belle is 18 months. She is a black lab - golden retriever mix. This one is very hyper and energetic. Her training is going well and I plan on having her certified in trailing by middle of 2007.
         

Derek is also currently active with National Ski Patrol at Tahoe-Donner Resort.
